Fun Moments

Hi Friends,
Thanks for popping in to see what I've been up to. I have been in a creative mood lately and not knitting.  I made a new batch of crochet hooks for Easter gifts or just for a treat, which can be found in my Esty shop www.etsy.com/shop/robinmurray.
I also was inspired by many lovely people on etsy to made an iPhone pouch for my daughter. It's so cute and a great project because you can actually get it done in a few hours! I like that sometimes! Then I got into making some buntings, which are really fun. I have hopes to put these in my shop, just for people who don't like to sew. I have many themes in mind! I'm going to have a little more time on my hands because my hours were reduced due to the economy. So instead of pouting I've decided to be more productive! So here's a peek...........

Amy's iPhone case, hope she likes it

                                                        "Happy Days" always with Buntings

Getting ready for Spring around here, even though it's still not here. Here are some decorations to my  highly anticipated change in season!

Well, that's all for now. I hope everyone has a lovely weekend wherever you are and whatever you do.
Take care, be safe, smile, laugh, be grateful, be kind and you will find yourself smiling and smiled at!

Sun and warmth for now!

Hi everyone, I know it's been awhile but I'm back now. Let me share some of my activities and fun times seen last post.

Let see what did happen. Well, someone had a birthday and it wasn't mine.

No, it's not the person in the photo. It was my honey.........I got the number confused.......but who doesn't want to be 16 again. He had a nice chuckle!

I just love tulips and these were especially pretty ones!

Then we had a few days, well actually 5 days with our granddaughters. Such fun we all had. I was with them in two places, their home and then up to my house. We did have a bit of driving, but it made it possible that I could take them to their first swim lesson. Nannie was in heaven to be able to take part in this. A and E love the water. Swim lessons are now done in hotel pools, so off I went to the hotel with kids and gear in tow. It is now totally confirmed that is it definitely best to have your children when you are young!

                                                  Ready

                                                      Set

                                                     Go

As you can see there were lots of kids and groups and instructors. It was a half hour lesson and they truly loved every minute. I took lots of pictures for mom and dad and even two videos. So I think Nannie did a good job! I pat myself on the back.

Then it was off to Vermont for more fun and to be with Poppy. My honey was waiting for us and the weather got so lovely we could be outside on the deck. SO many tea parties with real food. They are now old enough to have water and snack type food outside. (due to many spills and crumbs) Jack was in heaven and their best friend.

I guess I don't have a tea party photo, but here are all the toys that were taken out.

They pretended that they were camping out on the deck with Poppy.

We made play dough sculptures that air dry and are so light weight.

Lots of drawing took place with dry markers and the erasers. So much fun and easy to do.

Little E's

We were busy, going from one project to the next, to the next and then back to the first. I was getting dizzy!

We ate out on St. Patrick's Day and the kids so enjoyed all the people who dressed up in green. It's a big holiday here and people really take it serious and start celebrating early. We were home by 6:45, and at 5:30 there were lines to get into the pub. We ate at Three Tomatoes an Italian restaurant next store. Pasta is a big hit with the little girls........and big girl too!

When it was my Honey's birthday we had a lovely double chocolate fudge cake and I decorated it with a bunting I made out of scrapbooking paper. It was so much fun and festive. I forgot to take a picture, but I am now hanging it in my kitchen window. Photo not that great but you can get the idea. Many bloggers have made these and let me tell you they are fun. There is no end to the creative ways you can make them. Colors, stripes, polka dots, floral, you name it. I got my idea from Lucy at   Attic24.typepad.com and from Debbie at Happylittlecottage.blogspot.com.

I think you can see it is tiny and was so cute on the cake!

Teeny Tiny

Whenever I go to Massachusetts I always treat myself to something. This time it was a sweet toadstool salt and pepper shaker and a little white pottery watering can.

These are tiny too!

It really works too!

That's all folks. Have to get dinner on and feed Jack! Thanks so much for visiting and leaving me your sweet comments. I just love them and all of you new friends and old friends.

Around the LOOP

Come with me for my walk around the LOOP in my neighborhood. We have had 2 delightful days with sun and some warmth. A hint of Spring, some melting, some birds, and blue skies! Jack and I had a wonderful walk, the LOOP is 2+ miles and it's a nice workout if you keep the pace up. So that's what I try to do, except when I have to stop to take pictures, naturally!

We had company along the way, 2 nice dog from I don't know where. Never ran into an owner and anyone missing two dogs, so they traveled with us, to Jack's delight, and disappeared 3/4's of the way around. See if you can spot JACK in the photos!

Can you pick out my Jack-Jack?     On the left!     Amazing how they are all the same color.

                                              Both are not Jack!

Yes, we passed the sheep and the barn as we walked. It is actually my favorite part of my walks. I always count the sheep and make sure there are 16 sheep. I talk to them and say hi and see if they have food or look cold. Yes, I really love them and consider myself very lucky to have them on my LOOP! What is the LOOP, just a 2+ mile around my house.
Aren't they really good looking?!

Next scenes from the countryside and rolling hills.

                                            Sheep Barn

Bridge where Jack Swims, but not today

                                             Stream going under bridge

                                            OLD pine tree

Next few pictures of our mud season coming and the only shoes to wear during this long season

                                                       My Bogs

Lots and Lots of mud, which means dirty dog, dirty feet and dirty house!!

Hope you enjoyed our walk around the LOOP. I enjoyed your company and will be back real soon with new projects to share.

I leave you with this wonderful Quote from the movie and book, "THE HELP". I just love it!

Thanks for stopping by and know your are appreciated and important to me.

"Lucky Little Lady"

Oh, what fun I had this weekend making my Mollie Makes Magazine gift. I love getting a little craft each month to make a little something and it normally quick, useful and fun to make. This month was so special and I enjoyed each little red stitch. Lots of little stitches too! I will put this to use and enjoy its present in my purse and the keeper of my keys. Here's a step by step photo mosaic.

The kit came with everything you needed except stuffing! So it was perfect.

Here is my finished Lucky Little Lady----"Dotty"

Great pattern and I may make more in the future for gifts!

I have this little chalk board that I often leave a simple message or quote and it came true!!

And Shine it Did, of course we still have snow but the light and warmth was fabulous.

I have this delightful chicken garland that my daughter gave me for Christmas that I just love. I decided to place it on the door off our kitchen. It looks so nice and as a bonus it rings when someone comes in!

It is a lovely addition to the entrance, making everyone welcome.

I wish everyone a wonderful week and I hope there is sunshine where you are or at least sunshine in your home. Thanks for stopping by and taking the time. I love your visits and comments.

Take care, xoRobin❤

In Like a Lion!

Hello there my friends,

I'm back and running and having a little free time today to blog. Hurray!!! I have missed this time. A trick of mother nature has made it possible. Yes, indeed a winter storm on March 1st!! We haven't had much snow to speak of all winter and so the Leap Year has brought it on!

It is pretty!

My visit to see Mom was very productive. I arranged home care for her and took her to doctor visits.  Things are coming along. BUT boy, I wish I were closer. Life just get so complicated sometimes and we all have to do what we can. We talk everyday, so that helps her and myself get by. My brother and his family are very helpful....we are a team!

Lots to show you involving a snow sculpture at Dartmouth College where I live and some beautiful nature. I don't think I ever mentioned I live within minutes to Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. It is really fun to live in a college town. Always lots of kids around and things going on. Here take a peek. My honey thinks the sculpture is silly because he remember years of much better ones. BUT they actually had to bring snow in so I think this was easy!

Who doesn't like a Cupcake!

Baker Library, Global Warming, Dartmouth, amazing trees. I will definitely take more pictures as Spring arrives and it gets prettier

On President's Day here most of us have off, so I was able to visit and meet up with my daughter and little ones. We met half way at a shopping outlet. Lunch, shopping, granddaughters, daughter and free time, need I say more. Here's what was the high point for the littlies!

Remember these rides with your kids or your children now. I remember mine begging to ride and I almost never had quarters. (maybe on purpose) Well nannie, had no problem finding lots of quarters on this day! Good old simple fun!

Look at these fun things! I love Mollie Makes magazine.....yes, I have it come all the way to the USA. I think I should be from England. Some of my ancestors were, maybe that's where this love comes from : )

I have a Babushka thing going on

Can't wait to make this keyring.......You can't imagine how much happiness this brings ME!!!!
And I had just bought this tin to make a little family of them : )

Now I am in heaven.

I found this iPhone case on the web...... just had to get it. It says it all!

Polka dots have been happening too........Hooky Happiness. Check out my Etsy shop on side panel if you like

I have to leave you with this. Oh how I can't wait to put this on my side door. I fell in love with the whole tin design.....

Thank you so much for visiting. I am so happy to be back in the swing of things. I hope wherever you are, you are happy, safe, and cosy!
