May Day!

I ♥ MAY! It's always such a happy month to me, flowers, end of school year activities (even though all my kids are grownup), no jackets, long days, birds singing, more people out and about, oh the list could go on and on. But you get the idea.

I just want to wish everyone a Happy May Day and summer/winter depending on where you are living. Thinking of you all!

I will be having a ta-daaahhh moment next week with our completion of the master bathroom. It has been a month or so of disorder, but my oh my I think it will be worth it!

I wish all of you a fun packed weekend or as calm as you need. We are headed to Martha's Vineyard to open up our summer home. There will be lots of work but who wouldn't do that to be by the sea!!! Hope to take a few pictures :  )

Happy Hats

I have had such fun making baby hats this week! They are so fun and I can make one in a day and feel a sense of accomplishment. Since I have been helping my Hb so much with him not feeling well, it has been so good for me. You know what, I have been amiss in updating what happened this past Saturday. My Hb fell on ice and really went down hard. A few hours in the ER, many X-rays but thankfully nothing broken just lots of pain and unable to walk on his right leg. So he has been on crutches all week and I have been chauffeuring him to and from work. I did get him to stay home on Monday and half day on Tuesday. He has made great headway and now is on one crutch.....but really he needs a break. (And I don't mean that literally) I hope he can have a low key weekend and I'm going to see to it. Oh my, life sure does happen!

They are so sweet, I think I may have started a collection. Just what I don't need another collection.....I have quite the love of tiny cuteness, that always turn into a new obsession. Well, it could be worse.

Mother Nature

MOTHER NATURE STRIKES AGAIN!

We face the same today, the 13th, and actually for the whole weekend : (  I so want to get into the gardens and now we will have mud season again. I know I know it will come, I will have to be patient.
Just sharing my moments of despair......now on to fun things



I have been knitting up baby hats and more bunnies and bunks. A local gift shop in Hanover, New Hampshire, Lemon-Tree-Gifts-of-Hanover, has some of my aprons, bunnies, buntings and baby hats. It's fun to be featured there but I may just be going back to my Etsy shop with these items soon. I can make my prices lower and have more personal interaction with my customers. So we will see.

Calm before the Storm

"SANDY" is coming!!!!

Hurricane Sandy that is! It has been a weird day weather wise, the sky has been ominous! The weather has been on all the stations ALL day and I'm still waiting. My job has been cancelled for tomorrow morning and I think it will be cancelled the rest of the day also. Who wants to travel, if the weather is hurricane conditions...I know I don't.

So it's been a slow day with this weather, but I have gotten some things done.

I have been knitting a bit and decided to knit up some baby hats for my Etsy shop. I got the bug and couldn't stop. Baby things are so much fun to make. Who doesn't need a baby gift for a baby shower or just to keep your own little bundle warm and cosy????

 I always have to thank my lovely models for their time and patience! ❤❤ The four top baby hats are size 0 to 3 months, the  period of time that it's so important to keep the little munchkins warm and cosy. Oh, how I love that cuddle age.
