Happy New Year

Happy New Year Dear Friends! Lots to talk about in the new year,  just wanted to pop in to wish blessings and love to all of you who take the time to visit me here!

2015 was quite the year for my family, two daughter's weddings, one niece's wedding, renovation on our vacation home, a few minor health issues, and now my Hb's retirement!

Let's bring on 2016 with love, kindness, laughter, good health and new adventures!

I hope to be more active on my blog in 2016.....I will be in a new chapter in my book, actually I think a NEW book is more like it with my Hb home and new adjustments!

I'm excited to see what's ahead for us......I will always have yarn and crafts in my future....I have threatened my Hb on knitting and crocheting lessons hahahaha

No, but really I am looking forward to sharing my new adventures and experiences both good and challenging in my new "life's" book!

I leave you with much gratitude for your friendship, kindness, and motivating you all give to me to continue being creative and trying new crafts.

Jack and I send hugs to all of you and blessings for 2016

xoxoRobin and Jack

Lovely Summer News

I know it has been so long since my last post.......it has been a wild ride of weddings, summer days and plans for next August 22nd daughter's wedding. (not to mention reno on MV house)

Amy and Andrew's wedding was absolutely beautiful and lovely in every way. We all had the best time and the weather was picture perfect.  The best way to tell you about it is with a few pictures.

ENJOY!

I love this happy photo........married and happy and ready to party

Abby and Lizzy made the sweetest flower girls~see "ELLIE" the elephant for support!

Finally me in my dress~no formal photos yet~it was very comfortable

                                                            Gotta love LOVE

                                                        Goody bags in guest's rooms

Event tent being set up~love the top flags

Wedding cake from text~sorry~ really have to get the professional photos

I will have more better photos but this is a start~Let me show you the quilt/wall hanging I made for the newlyweds~they loved it

This was so much fun to make for A&A

Each door has a different motif~fussy fun work

                                                                       From ME

I also made this sign for the reception~galvanized bucket with flip flops

We ordered 200 mini succulents and baby ball jars for the take home gift at everyone's seat

After making 150 jars, I really never wanted to see another succulent~but they were a hit~and still alive!!

Well, my friends this has taken a while to write, I must get going but I have missed blogging and have so much more to share. Next Time, more on summer, Leslie's upcoming wedding and so much more.

Few questions:

Does everyone have to enter one photo at a time when writing a post or am I doing something wrong?!

Can someone follow me who isn't yet, I have been stuck on 140 forever, I don't even know if it works!
Thank you for any responses xoxo

Thank you all for visiting and I hope you all have "DAISY DAYS"

xoRobin

❤More LOVE❤

Yes, I have more Love news. AMY and ANDY are now engaged! We are so very happy for them. They are a delightful couple and really compliment each other. Did I mention they are SO CUTE, too!

We started on the wedding location discussion and oh it is exciting. You will be hearing an awful lot of wedding talk in the next year or so.........  this photo was New Years Eve in Boston

We are in the middle of a blizzard today. Lots of snow, whiteouts and shovelling for me. Everything is cancelled except hospitals. Advisories to stay home and off the roads. Spring can't come soon enough for me. I'm forced to buy lots of these. So don't feel sorry for me.

Flowers A and A bought up

                                                                 Tulips I purchased

Making use of the flowers that did not die and featuring the daisies

The starting bloom of my Amaryllis

Love my new tablecloth, had to get rid of the winter seasonal ones!!!

Candles are lite, time to settle in. I see tea, knitting and reading for my afternoon.

Stay warm and cosy all of you. Thanks for popping in and sharing in my happy news. Be back soon with my orchids and knitting.

Love is in the Air ~Part 1~

Oh my, it's been awhile! So much has been going on and all related to family! Wow, what could be better then that?!!

We had a beautiful, wonderful and delicious Thanksgiving. I was the host and cook, but not bottle washer!! We laughed, ate and drank to our hearts content.
Actually I did have help in the kitchen, as all the kids have become young adults it is such a pleasure to have all of them in the kitchen........and you know what they are all better cooks than myself, I am happy and sad to say. (mostly happy)

We only had 7 people, so a much smaller gathering then other Thanksgivings. BUT that was all because of the upcoming wedding WHERE everyone was TOGETHER.

A few peeks of Turkey Day and all we are thankful for......Family❤

Apple Pie made by Amy and Andy

Thanksgiving setting and a bewildered daughter (laugh out loud)

First carving of 14lb turkey........husband very sad I didn't get larger bird, maybe 24lb for 6 meat eating people........oh yes, he's a funny one!

Oh yes, we had all the fixings, the poppers were popped, the crowns worn and goofyness started. Can't get any better then that!!!! Love was in the air!

I think I will have to call this Part 1 of "Love is in the Air"   My computer is so slow downloading pictures......and I do have work to do........so my loves, I will be back with wedding, Christmas and projects, very soon, I promise.

Thanks for letting me share my world with all of you, I know I love seeing your worlds too!

~Part 2 coming soon~

New Chapter

I'm here but much has happened! My dear sweet mom had a stroke two weeks ago today. I flew down immediately and stayed with her in the hospital. Her stroke left her paralyzed on her right side and she is right handed. Her dementia actually, in some ways, initially helped her to forget the impact of this, but of course as time went by it really did not help. My brother and I thankfully had this nursing home picked out awhile ago, so we did not have to search to find a rehab facility. Four days in the hospital and then to the home. We got her situated and I visited her everyday and for most of the day. She was adjusting and smiling and eating, but then I had to go. Now the reality is setting in and we are all sad with the events and the extent of the stroke. At 86 years of age, so weak and fragile, I think we need a miracle. I will be going down after the 4th of July and sooner if need be. I miss her and think of her nonstop. My wish to have her close by is not looking good. I have to do what's best and right now she needs to be where she is.

I think that's all for now. Not feeling very much like blogging but I'll be back. Thanks for listening and visiting. Sometimes you just have to deal with what's in front of you with all good thoughts, intentions and love and let God see to rest. I think that's where I am.

Christmas and Family Times

I sure hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and holiday! I could see some wonderful times on blogs and it DID, in fact, look so happy, peaceful and FULL!

We all had a lovely Christmas, holiday, birthday, family time, game playing, eating and being merry! It just went on and on.......we saw all 5 adult children with spouses, grandchildren, boyfriends and dogs. We actually had "4" Christmases because everyone could not come at once. BUT each one was so very special and we feel so blessed to have our wonderful family.
