Honey's Touch

Let me share with all of you, my Honey's lovely addition to our Tree. Yes, we alternate each year on adding this to the tree! I was reminded that it was his turn.....and he was right! So here's our festive tree in its glory!

Are you wondering what is different? Well, it's the beaded garland. Honey loves this and I think it's nice but I guess I just like the simplicity of the ornaments. Either way I love our tree!

Little closer and can you spy, my new find. Let me show you.

Can you believe I found button ornaments. You can't imagine how excited I was. I wish I could give one to all you button lovers out there.......Helen!

This is our small artificial tree we decorate with really old ornaments. They are really treasured glass bobbles and we store them in egg cartons. Here are our tiniest.

Aren't they sweet?!

There are certain items in my house that I have up all year and really don't want to put away for Christmas. So I have started adding little holly wreathes to them to make them festive and ornate. What so you think?

More buttons and polka dots: my favorite hand towels in the kitchen. Can't get much better : )

Took these pictures in the living room where out tree is, but from different areas. This is a new vase which I purchased in Martha's Vineyard. We just love it. Handmade at Chilmark Pottery.
.

Hope you weren't too bored touring around my house with me. Once again I wish you all a joyous Christmas and the happiest and healthiest New year.

I will be back after Christmas and maybe back on my birthday. Yes, I am an almost Christmas Baby, 27th. (Not counting birthdays anymore though.)

Jack and I send you much Love and Hugs. Hope you all enjoy your families and friends. Be Safe and Be Merry!!!!!

Christmas Tree 2011☃

Tree is up and Oh My, I must say it is so colorful and festive. I love a tree with no particular theme, other than Christmas, handmade, kid made, store bought, craft show finds, all colors, shapes and sizes. Some of my favorites have been with us for years and even my childhood. I love the fingerprint ornaments most kindergarteners do for their parents as a gift in school. Some of our ornaments are so treasured and fragile we just look at them each year and keep them safe in the bottom the our special ornament box. There they stay safe and undamaged and just a lovely happy memory.

I mostly choose a tree by aroma! I love a strong evergreen smell, it brings back all the childhood memories for me, descending the stairs on Christmas morning and seeing that Santa had indeed come. The smell is embedded in my heart and soul and one I hope I was able to give to my kids. This year's tree smells so yummy and we were told it was cut the hour before! I have to believe it because it is drinking 5 medium size watering cans a day.

Let me show you what I am raving about!

Not your typical Angel, This lovely owl is watching over us and keeping an eye on things!

Just a few of the ornaments, keepsake, antique, anthropology, new, felt and embroidered, new

Hope you are all enjoying the leading up to the big Day. I am for the most part, but I do have to take a breath every now and then and tell myself TO Keep Calm and Remember it Always gets Done. (and if it doesn't we will all survive)

Hope to post at least once more before Christmas but I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I hope you all are able to be with family and friends at this time of year. I'm so thankful for my family and all of you. Thank you all for your comments and kind words this year. It means so much. I send love, good wishes and many blessings to all of you.

♪♪Christmas Music♪♪

Oh, how I love to listen to Christmas Music for the whole Christmas season. At least 30 days of fa la la la    la la la la, Silent Night, Baby It's Cold Outside, The First Noel, O Come All Ye Faithful, Angels We Have Heard On High, etc etc........

Here are 3 of my favorite Christmas CDs

Taylor Swift Holiday Collection

Josh Groban..Noel

Andrea Bocelli my Christmas

I highly recommend them!

This weekend we had two daughters visit, along with their pups. 6 month old Leroy, a silver lab, and Betty, a 4 month old French bulldog. With Jack that was 3 dogs, 4 adults, lots of fun and walks to tire them out! They all remarkably got along and had fun playing with each others toys.

We had lots of fun, as you can see. BUT "3" is a handful.

This is just a peek of our weekend visitors! Such great times are definitely with family! Hope everyone has a great start to the week. Be back soon to share more. Thanks for your visit and lovely comments always, xoRobin❤

Sun☼ and Snow❅ light pictures❅

Hello and Happy Day to you all,

Finally some sun, but what came with it was snow, that fell while we slept. Really, so pretty and the sun is so welcome. So here are some Christmas pictures of my decorations and cheer!

Sorry, not really meaning to be in the picture, but there I am........antique hutch all lite-up with sparkles

Two of my mini trees adorning the side entrance, along with little A and E!

Christmas mouse over seeing the festive season.

Time for my baubles again, I decorated with them last year too and I just love the affect.

I did add sparkly lights just to make the evenings more glowing!

My whimsical mantel in our Family room.

And with the lights on.

Next our living room Fireplace Mantel, I have in the past decorated with Nutcrackers, but this year I changed it to my Carolers and Resin Santas' I painted many years ago.

Look at this lovely Poinsettia, it reminds me of a candy cane!

Do you see something? Here keep going and it will get closer.......

My new owlie ornament for when we get our tree and decorate!

Front door Berry Wreath, I like it because it shows up really well from the road, nice and bright!

Gift from my daughter many many years ago, I just love it

❅December First❄

How exciting it is that the Holiday season has arrived. I just started to decorate and get in the lovely festive spirit. It all happened when I put out my new Advent calendar and was able to open up the 1st little window. Each year I buy chocolate Advent calendars for the kids and now I just buy them for my granddaughters. They have come to love this tradition and Nannie loves to buy them this treat! When I buy an Advent calendar for myself, I sometimes buy a cute one, sometimes a german style, but this year I was drawn to a religious Advent calendar. Take a look, it is jut so beautiful and the true spirit of this blessed time.

Window "1"   (top left)   The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light.   Isaiah 9:1

Yes, my candles are up and glowing in each window of my house.

Here are a few more Christmas Decorations that are up, but so much more to come. I do tend to put candles in the windows and wreaths on the doors, so from the outside I look festive. (and on top of things)

Inside Wreath, just because I love the smell so much.....it's intoxicating!

Christmas Welcome with "glints"

Christmas Star with "glints"

Side entrance looking so Welcoming......you are all invited to stop in for tea or bubbles!

Snowshoes adorn the house, but we have other snowshoes for winter walks with Jack.

Our weather here in Vermont has really been very mild, other then our snowfall at Halloween and our 8" snow fall two weeks ago. All the snow is gone! I do hope we get some snow for Christmas, it is so lovely to have family, fireplace roaring, food, drink and love just to set the day's festivities.

I want to share with you my lovely purchase from "Our One an only Mia", yes you can visit her here miashandmade.blogspot.com

Look at my festive coasters and surprise birdie. Oh, how I love them! Thank you Mia!

Owl and candle awaiting Santa.

Birdie in the tree, trying to blend in, awaiting Santa.

Surprise birdie waiting to be put on our Christmas tree.

Well, I need to getting going, thanks so much for visiting and I will be back soon. I wish everyone of my old and new followers a blessed holiday season. I hope we can all spread our love to others during this season. Some are not as fortunate as some of us and it always feels wonderful to bring a smile and hope to others. I hope I can do that for someone each day of this season.

many thanks, xoRobin❤
