❀Rosy Day❀

Hello all you lovely Bloggers,

We had some sun so all came out Rosy for the weekend. So much can be done when the sun is shining. All of a sudden your energy level rises and you are smiling for no reason and then the house goes to pot, but that's perfectly fine. Lots of things happened at our house. The bird nest got cleaned up. I had to actually get hose and brush to scrub the light and house from all the mud and birdie business. I have to say they were messy!! No problem all cleaned up and sparkling. We were then able to put the breezeway furniture out. We had waited until they were up, up and away before we decorated with our summer look.
Then we were able to plant our 12 climbing rose bushes along our front fence. It was fun and so great to get dirty and work in the soil. Our roof is still being replaced so we have had to plan accordingly with our gardening needs. Definitely not our usual summer gardens. Just have to go with it! Let me show you the roses and a few of our other floralness.

I think once they get established they will really add beauty to the front yard!

I captured these Rosy Pretty Images

Don't they just speak for themselves?

Now not so Pretty.........................

OK enough, how 'bout more good stuff

This happened before, during all our rainy, rainy weather! So Pretty, but really happy to have the Sunshine.

Want to see my new project. It's a sweater for little "E" for her "3rd" birthday happening in August. I'm enjoying working on it and hope to have it done way before. We do have a few vacations planned, so I'm happy it's started. I always use washable yarn for my daughter's sake. Everything needs to be able to be washed multiple times and then some! I also make them larger so they will fit for a while. I'm using my favorite pattern maker Yankee Knitter, so user friendly for all knitters. I'm a fan of circular needles, so I convert many patterns so I don't have as many seams in the end. Works for me! Do you feel that way too? I also love the new addi-TURBO needles the yarn just slides along, a pleasure to work on. Well, enough chattering, here it is so far.

I can't thank you enough for visiting me. I do so enjoy your visits and comments. I'm hoping and wishing you all sunny happy skies, some carefree days and lots of laughter.

Jack wanted to poke in and say Hi..........he is so NOSY!

Bye for now,  xoRobin❤

All things Happy!

Hello My Ladies,

So nice to get this chance to catch up and share our lives in our little land of blogs. First, I must share with you the last sighting and photo moment before my birdies flew the coup. Before I show the picture I do have to say how fun it was to follow this feathered family! I honestly think it was a planned farewell because there was lots of chirping and an appearance of mum and dad Robin. I think they were there to cheer them on! Wish I had seen it, but it was a private family event and I wasn't invited. In the morning the lovely nest was empty and I felt the loss. Bitter sweet!

Here they are ready to start their Journey
Getting way to big for this small nest, overflowing....

Good bye.......smooth flying!

Now All things Happy!

How 'bout a visit to see the kids and the little kids. First visiting the big kids (my kids) and then the little ones. What can be happier than that?! Look what the little ones did for Nannie. Since the little one moved from crib to bed, they got bunk beds. So nice and they look so big and grown up.(but not really) Now Nannie gets her own room and a very special bed. Look what they picked out for me.......all my favorites. They know me so well.

How lucky am I? Extremely!

They know my love of OWLS and Birds and Trees and Nests. I only need some Buttons and I would be in heaven.
How about a look at the ones who did all this with the help of their Mommy(my daughter)!

                                                                          Big "A"   5 years

                                                                          "A" and "E"

          Little "E"    3 years almost

So What did I tell you "ALL THINGS HAPPY"

Now look at this, if you would. Jack in his glory after his bath.  Please let me know, does your dog do this?Kinda defeats the hold purpose.

I still have to share with you some of my latest purchases involving yarn!!!!! And what is on my needles, but that will be next time, I have rambled enough for now. Thanks for visiting, I love your visits. Happiness to all and the strength to handle things if needed.

I leave you with this lovely ocean view.

Lovely Surprise

First and foremost ladies, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your heartfelt comments on my last post. You have no idea how much your kind words and suggestions helped to empower me. It definitely helped to revive me and realize I am doing the best I can at the present. What it also taught me was that I have a great support system with all of you. Thanks, I hope I can do the same for someone too someday.

Now I have a little mystery story via photos to share with all of you. I have been capturing these pictures for at least a month and waiting and waiting for the perfect picture to end the story. Do I have you wondering????? I hope so!

Well, it started with this and I was curious.

I was all set to take my basket down and put my spring flowers in! Then I looked more closely

Oh my, I think a nest is starting.................

Nothing happened for days............I checked every few days.

Then I turned around one day

What did I see but this mess on the breezeway floor.............?

So I looked UP!

How did this happen and when!

So well constructed and completely under my nose. Very sneaky!

So what kind of bird did this and how will I get in and out of my side door without disturbing this?     "Carefully" and "Quietly"

First peek through the glass window.

Up close and personal........but still don't know what kind of bird.

A lot of sitting was happening

She flew away and it was a sweet momma Robin. So when will she have the babies? She has been sitting for what seems like weeks.

Then I saw something

She's feeding, but where are they!

Do you see them?

They are so hungry......all the time

And look they are growing......fast!

More please!

Thanks mom, now we're happy and sleepy.

See the feathers starting?

More feeding

More contentment

A Very Happy and Proud Mommy!

Hope you enjoyed this happy ending story! It's been such fun watching. I will definitely keep you up to date if I could ever be so lucky to see them leave the nest!

Thanks for popping in and Thank you in advance for your comments. I love them all and reading them with much happiness.

Mom and Childhood Memories

I'm home and I hate to say, but so happy to be home. I use to love to visit my childhood home, but now that my mom is getting older, it has become painful. I love my mom, don't get me wrong, it just makes me sad to see she is all alone in the house, that we all grew up in. My dad past away 13 years ago and she has done well with all the responsibilities. Time has not made things better though, she misses my father more and really is depressed. She wants to stay in her home for as long as she can even though the maintenance is burdensome.  I try to get her interested in activities, but you know she really is a homebody. This does not help her mood though. I try to visit as much as I can, but it's always difficult to get away. She is welcome up here but is not a good traveler, which is why I visit her. I would love if she could pack up and visit for a week. She could see all that she is missing, but no luck with this for 8 years now. That was the last time she travelled. I average 3 visits a year and I call 6 days out of 7. So she feels connected with me but who can live on that alone? Of course she has Gretel her 4 year old mini dachshund, what a godsent. Sorry I'm rambling, it's just so sad to see someone suffering when I know her quality of life could be better. Her health is wonderful except for the depression, which is enough. I took her to the doctor to discuss all this and she refuses to take any medication and that is very frustrating to me. So in short, I love her dearly, will continue to do what I do and try to visit more. I suggested we both read the same book and have our own book club so we can share our views. She liked that!! Of Course I recommended a bookstore book club first but it's ever too hot..... or where do I find one type response, so I guess 2 can be a book club. First book "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society" by Mary ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows. I think this will be a good one. Please don't be shy if you have any ideas on dealing with elderly depressed sweet people. I know it is very common, just so hard to watch. You just want to help them so badly.

Here's a few pictures of little Gretel and my mom's yard.

Actually neighbor's peach tree, but so pretty to look at!

So amazing how everything has grown

                   Miss Gretel

Holly Bush----giving to my parents probably when I was 6 years old (as a xmas present- it was just a one stem plant) from Grants 5 and 10 cent store in the USA (no longer exists)

Love this enamel plaque on the chimney

Love this view looking down, so green, quaint, and cottage like.

Thank you for sticking with me and reading my post. Not my typical blog but this is what was on my mind. I appreciate all of you and EVERYONE take care, be kind, grateful and smile, xoRobin❤

Off My Needles

Hi everyone,
So nice to be back blogging. Have been so busy house wise. New roof being put on, noisy, messy and distracting! (total of three weeks of this) Despite it all I have been getting caught up and planning a visit to see my mom, one of the weeks. She is so excited and so am I. She just had her 84th birthday! So if you don't hear from me for a week, I will be back and I will miss blogging and reading all my favorites! (I think you all know who you are.....and I'm always looking for new sites)

So I finished the baby shower sweater today, blocked it, took pictures, wrapped it and went to the shower! The pressure was really on, I was really happy with the results, but I have to stop putting so much pressure on myself. This pattern is wonderful and I will definitely make it again. Actually this is my 2nd one. The pattern goes from 6 months to size 6, so it is very popular at many ages. So let me show you the finished piece.

This sweater is so soft, it feels like chenille. Completely washable

Still waiting for labels I am having made, so using this style for now.

This pattern is Designs by Jeannine #47

Child's Hooded Pullover

I bought a little top and striped leggings to go with the hoodie

Little sheepie button to add some cuteness

You can see where this style can really be useful for ages all the way up. In fact, the mommy-to-be asked if I could make her a matching one. hahahahaha    Love to, but my to do list is toooooo long.

Hope you enjoyed visiting, I know I love your visits. Thank you ever so much. Hope you all have a wonderful day and weekend that's almost here. Take care and smile lots!!

xoRobin❤
