Christmas Tree 2011☃

Tree is up and Oh My, I must say it is so colorful and festive. I love a tree with no particular theme, other than Christmas, handmade, kid made, store bought, craft show finds, all colors, shapes and sizes. Some of my favorites have been with us for years and even my childhood. I love the fingerprint ornaments most kindergarteners do for their parents as a gift in school. Some of our ornaments are so treasured and fragile we just look at them each year and keep them safe in the bottom the our special ornament box. There they stay safe and undamaged and just a lovely happy memory.

I mostly choose a tree by aroma! I love a strong evergreen smell, it brings back all the childhood memories for me, descending the stairs on Christmas morning and seeing that Santa had indeed come. The smell is embedded in my heart and soul and one I hope I was able to give to my kids. This year's tree smells so yummy and we were told it was cut the hour before! I have to believe it because it is drinking 5 medium size watering cans a day.

Let me show you what I am raving about!

Not your typical Angel, This lovely owl is watching over us and keeping an eye on things!

Just a few of the ornaments, keepsake, antique, anthropology, new, felt and embroidered, new

Hope you are all enjoying the leading up to the big Day. I am for the most part, but I do have to take a breath every now and then and tell myself TO Keep Calm and Remember it Always gets Done. (and if it doesn't we will all survive)

Hope to post at least once more before Christmas but I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I hope you all are able to be with family and friends at this time of year. I'm so thankful for my family and all of you. Thank you all for your comments and kind words this year. It means so much. I send love, good wishes and many blessings to all of you.

Jack is sending love and kisses to ALL

  9. What a beautiful tree! I agree, the smell takes me right back to my childhood.I used to love helping my Dad to decorate the tree, and remember he used to spread cotton wool along the branches to look like snow. All the baubles were made of glass,so we had to be very careful with those.
I hope you and your family have a very special Christmas.
    Best Wishes
