Isn't summer wonderful!? Just loving these summer days and evenings. The light is so grand and the long days are so great for getting things done or just enjoying a lazy day. But who's days are really lazy. Did have a few on vacation in Martha's Vineyard. Lovely weather, interrupted by Hurricane Arthur. It turned out to be just a downpour of rain and winds, not too bad at all and the next day was fabulous and we were swimming in the ocean. Great waves, Jack loved it too!

Ferry going to MV, Love her name
It's an extremely large ferry, actually the largest and newest! Has WiFi, TV, Cafe, and lots of indoor and outdoor sitting, and air conditioning, even double decker car transport. We always take our car.
Oh yes Jack on the ferry! Such a good boy❤
Black Dog Sail boat, I heard parents telling their little kids it is a pirate's ship! Looks like one, they have school programs for kids on the island to learn the ropes of sailing and 5 day sleepovers.
Many gorgeous homes too
My hydrangea's are doing well, love them

Rose Beach Plums and so fragrant
Tasty Honeysuckle
And what would it be without a random lovely "Daisy"
"He loves me, he loves me not"
Jack taking himself for a walk to the beach
Day after the Hurricane, rough surf, normally no waves
Very windy, maybe that's why it's not focused : (
Could Jack have found a larger stick/log!?
Photographer I am not!
Few Golf days
Some grilling and something in the background
More of this

Looks like a great place to visit. Thank goodness the hurricane was not as bad as you thought and no major impact on your break. Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteI have read the first three and loved them. I love your pictures Robin, after just reading and or listening to three of Erin Hilderbrand's book involving Martha's Vineyard and other islands up that way I feel like I was almost there with you.
