Little bit of this and that❤

Hi There
Popping in to thank everyone for taking the time to visit here. It's so thrilling and it is so much fun for me to visit all of you. Here's an update on the first baby cocoon sac, I hope to finish this one tonight, just taking a break!
This is 18" and now I will be decreasing to 10 stitches and draw thru stitches!

Pattern 6 rows k, 3 rows k, and 3 rows p

Want to see my funny motto, I told you it was a bit of this and a bit of that!
This is the best pillow, rectangle shape and perfect for the small of your back as you sit on the sofa and knit or crochet for hours. It couldn't possibly be that I am getting older.

So we have no more snow on the deck, all shoveled and cleared during one of our mild days. Now the lone chairs are awaiting Spring!

Last but not least, I got a special delivery, new furniture for us but an old ancient. I think it's quite something.

Oh, yes new pink tulips to celebrate!

Thanks so much again for visiting my nest of this and that today. I know it was random, but that's the way my day has been.

Closing with this picture

You know what's amazing about this, it not a sunset. No, this was taking this morning around 8am. "Pink sky in the morning sailors take warning, pink sky at night sailors delight"! Do you know this saying?!?!

Well, take care all and be happy, xoRobin❤

  1. Robin,
The babysack is looking great. I can't wait to see a picture of a baby in it. I love, love, love your new furniture. I have lovely old pieces all over my house, I wish I knew their stories. Where have they been? Who has loved them and taken care of them besides me?
    Have a great day,
    Meredith

  2. Robin, I *loved* your post today. I love seeing different things... and I can't wait to see a baby in your cocoon! Do share a photo of that.

I'm a sailor and the saying I've always heard is...

Red sky in morning, sailors take warning,
red sky at night, sailors delight

Where did you get your antique piece? I have several antiques here and several are family pieces.. I adore them.

    Hugs, Teresa

  3. Hi Robin, the baby cacoon is fab...wish I had one for when my kids were babies. Your new furniture is very lovely too. Our saying here is;
Red sky at night shepherd's delight
Red sky in the morning shepherd's warning.

How funny all the worldwide variations! Enjoy your weekend,
    Jane x

  7. I love the baby cocoon, I would enjoy knitting that! Also loved all the other things in your post, the tulips, the cushion with it's funny saying - so true! - and the two lovely chairs looking out at the snowy garden, plus the wonderful dresser. Random posts are great because they give us glimpses into other's lives - always so fascinating!
P.S. The giveaway is on it's way - not sure how long it takes to get to the US but shouldn't be long! Have a great weekend. Helen x

  11. Hi Robin,

Thanks for your lovely comment. That cocoon looks fab. My little one loves his, although he's not lucky enough to have a gorgeous handknit like the one you're making. Amazing dresser, too. Have a good week, Laura x
