Sun and warmth for now!

Hi everyone, I know it's been awhile but I'm back now. Let me share some of my activities and fun times seen last post.

Let see what did happen. Well, someone had a birthday and it wasn't mine.

No, it's not the person in the photo. It was my honey.........I got the number confused.......but who doesn't want to be 16 again. He had a nice chuckle!

I just love tulips and these were especially pretty ones!

Then we had a few days, well actually 5 days with our granddaughters. Such fun we all had. I was with them in two places, their home and then up to my house. We did have a bit of driving, but it made it possible that I could take them to their first swim lesson. Nannie was in heaven to be able to take part in this. A and E love the water. Swim lessons are now done in hotel pools, so off I went to the hotel with kids and gear in tow. It is now totally confirmed that is it definitely best to have your children when you are young!

                                                  Ready

                                                      Set

                                                     Go

As you can see there were lots of kids and groups and instructors. It was a half hour lesson and they truly loved every minute. I took lots of pictures for mom and dad and even two videos. So I think Nannie did a good job! I pat myself on the back.

Then it was off to Vermont for more fun and to be with Poppy. My honey was waiting for us and the weather got so lovely we could be outside on the deck. SO many tea parties with real food. They are now old enough to have water and snack type food outside. (due to many spills and crumbs) Jack was in heaven and their best friend.

I guess I don't have a tea party photo, but here are all the toys that were taken out.

They pretended that they were camping out on the deck with Poppy.

We made play dough sculptures that air dry and are so light weight.

Lots of drawing took place with dry markers and the erasers. So much fun and easy to do.

Little E's

We were busy, going from one project to the next, to the next and then back to the first. I was getting dizzy!

We ate out on St. Patrick's Day and the kids so enjoyed all the people who dressed up in green. It's a big holiday here and people really take it serious and start celebrating early. We were home by 6:45, and at 5:30 there were lines to get into the pub. We ate at Three Tomatoes an Italian restaurant next store. Pasta is a big hit with the little girls........and big girl too!

When it was my Honey's birthday we had a lovely double chocolate fudge cake and I decorated it with a bunting I made out of scrapbooking paper. It was so much fun and festive. I forgot to take a picture, but I am now hanging it in my kitchen window. Photo not that great but you can get the idea. Many bloggers have made these and let me tell you they are fun. There is no end to the creative ways you can make them. Colors, stripes, polka dots, floral, you name it. I got my idea from Lucy at   Attic24.typepad.com and from Debbie at Happylittlecottage.blogspot.com.

I think you can see it is tiny and was so cute on the cake!

Teeny Tiny

Whenever I go to Massachusetts I always treat myself to something. This time it was a sweet toadstool salt and pepper shaker and a little white pottery watering can.

These are tiny too!

It really works too!

That's all folks. Have to get dinner on and feed Jack! Thanks so much for visiting and leaving me your sweet comments. I just love them and all of you new friends and old friends.

  1. All I can say is you are so lucky to have your granddaughters close enough to bring them home and attend their events. They are just adorable!! My favorite was them enjoying their "nap" on the deck. We're having SNOW here of all things. Crazy.
